Dear Patients,

My name is Shahruq R. Sarela. I am a physician in Tucson, Arizona.  I practice in Internal Medicine and am Board Certified. My title is a Hospitalist which is a medical doctor/primary physician for patients that are admitted to the hospital. I do not take care of patients in the outpatient setting. Think of me as a Primary Care Physician but only in the acute setting.

I decided to make this blog to help my patients learn more about their medical care, and freely have access with a local physician by email at a reasonable cost.

Imagine your primary doctor tells you your cholesterol is high, your kidney function is down, and your A1C is up. Sadly, he can’t educate you about all these things in a 10 minute appointment. Well I can! By paying a monthly service I’ll be your physician offering you proper sound advice backed by fact; not gimmicks, wives tales, or random online sources. I am your personal reference to help you decipher through all the medical jargon. The medical world is very confusing, and there is a lot of information out there. It can be extremely overwhelming to patients. Rather than heading down the wrong path allow me to keep you straight towards a healthier you.
